In the spring term we decided to open the doors of our classrooms to show parents our fantastic learning.  Pupils selected particular pieces of work they were proud of to discuss with their parents.  Using sentence stems they explained why they found a particular piece of work tricky, why they were proud of a piece or they explained why their learning met year group expectations.  Pupils showed their parents their  Challenge books, Science, Maths, Reading journals,  Write On files  and sketch pads.   Before the event pupils rehearsed their scripts and used their learning partners to help them evaluate their performance. Our teachers just facilitated the real sessions and marvelled at how confident, clear and articulate their  pupils were..  We are repeating these sessions in the summer term.  Our feedback from parents was very positive!
