Art - Artist of the Month Leonid Afremov - We have been inspired by Afremov's colourful painting on flowers and have created our own version. We are very proud of how beautiful, colourful and different they all look!
P.E - Today we focused on putting our learning to the test with a circuit. We practiced throwing, running, jumping and challenged ourselves as we went!
R.E - Jewish creation story - Today we focused on the Jewish creation story and we retold the events of the story with pictures to help.
Now Press Play History - We enjoyed completing the Stone Age Now Press Play which has inspired our writing this week.
Northern Arts - We took our learning outside with Jade as we explored using diction and speaking clearly in this session.
Art - End of topic Monet and Manet - We went outside into our school grounds and created a line drawing of a landscape. We then used watercolours
Commando Jo - We continued our wonderful sessions following Nellie Bly's journey!

Art - WWF project - We loved recreating images from our trip to Meanwood Valley Urban Farm for this exciting art project!

Meanwood Valley Urban Farm - Science Launch for Rocks and Soils topic. We had a wonderful day at MVUF where not only did we get to meet the animals including the new born lambs we also spent the day learning about rocks and soils. We completed investigations into the properties of the different rocks as well as testing the different PH values of soils. We took photos of the animals for an art project coming soon!
Northern Arts Factory - Year 3 have been lucky enough to be selected to work with the brilliant Northern Arts Factory this half term. In our first session we looked at emotions, mime and storytelling!
PE - Multiskills - we spent the lesson working on our accuracy when throwing a ball with different types of throws. We focused on the overarm throw, underarm throw, chest pass, bounce pass and roll.
Geography - Earthquakes Mini topic - We completed our Geography topic by testing wooden blocks over different materials to see how stable the wooden blocks were.
History - We launched our new History topic on the Stone Age to Iron Age by becoming archologists and exploring cave paintings and stone artefacts.
