We have had a brand new library fitted at school.  It is bright, cosy and welcoming and our pupils can't wait to  get in there and explore.  It is big enough for a whole class to have a lesson in!  We have taken delivery of lots of brand new books.  We have new poetry books, graphic novels, biographies, first chapter books, non-fiction books linked to topics and books from different cultures. As well as new books, we have a new library management software system which means that our pupils will be able to scan books and take them home and our reading champions will be able to work as librarians.

All of our KS2 classes access the library regularly.  Our library is open to pupils three lunchtimes a week so they can return or borrow.  Our fantastic  Y6 librarians keep the library, tidy, add new books to the system and use our software system.  Our focus authors this half term  are : 

 KS2 Michael Morpurgo and  KS1 Giles Andreae.  We have key information about the authors on display, photos, blurbs and selected books for each of these authors.
