DT - Our Design and Technology topic this half term has been based on bridges. We took about planning, designing, collaboratively making and evaluating our own suspension bridges in class.
Science - This half term our science topic has been electricity. We have really enjoyed learning about electric circuits and how we need different components to enable electricity to flow through a working circuit. This even inspired a procedural text that explained how to make a circuit!
Writing - In writing this half term we have looked at a range of text types and practiced a range of writing styles. We spend time at the beginning of each piece of writing identifying the writing features that we will need to practice and include in that piece of writing that week.
World Book Day - For world book day we dressed up as our favourite characters from books. We spent time sharing our writing with Year 2 and Year 6 children and listened to what they had written. We then spent the afternoon in workshops with different teachers focusing on different book genres.
