At the start of the half term, children in years 3, 4 and 5 were asked to design a piece of art in the style of Nicolas Dixon. Designs had to include things that are important to the children both at home and at school. Each class then voted for their winning design. The winning designs have
been used as Nicolas has been working alongside some pupils from years 3, 4 and 5 to bring these winning designs to life.
Local artist Nicolas Dixon visited school and talked to the children in Year 5 about his work. He showed pictures of his pieces and the children asked questions about the inspiration for his artwork. He then walked into Pudsey with a small group to show them his artwork in our local area. As part of the assembly, every child was given a raffle ticket and at the end, three children won a piece of his art work. Thank you very much to Nicolas for his time and expertise, this was a really fabulous opportunity for our children.
