Raising Aspirations day 5 – On the final day of this fantastic week, the children were amazed with the knowledge and skills it takes to be a Pharmacist, a Cycling and active travel champion from Bradford Council as well as an expert in Commercial insurance. We have had a fabulous week and would like to thank every one of our career experts.

Raising Aspirations Week day 4 – The children enjoyed working with a Recruitment Compliance Manager, BT OpenReach and a very informative prosthetic engineer today.

Raising Aspirations Week day 3 – Today, the children were fascinated with the visitors which included a Social Value and Stakeholder manager , Financial consultant as well as a very talented artist.

Raising Aspirations Week day 2 – Today, the children listened about a variety of careers including a National Account Manager, a Financial Consultant , a Virologist and even a paramedic.

Raising Aspirations day 1 – On the first day of this fantastic week, the children were amazed with the knowledge and skills it takes to be a K9 police officer.

Debating Final at Pudsey Civic Hall

All of the children in the class have been working hard on debating skills and writing speeches for debating. as part of our Owlcotes Element - A Way with Words.

Today, three children represented our class as opposers stating that Robots MUST NOT replace teachers and won their debate.

Rivers Trip

Today we visited the River Wharfe in 3 different locations; Hebers Ghyll (Ilkley), Otley and Bolton Abbey. While we were at each location, the children investigated the width, depth and flow of the river as well as discussing the features of the river that the children have learnt about.

Wow! What a fabulous time the Y6 children have had today taking part in this. As part of this 3km course, the children took on ‘Muddy Mayhem’, ‘Canopy Climb’ and the awesome new ’Slideaway’ as well as many more. They had to run, climb, jump, crawl and slide their way around 12 Challenging Obstacles.

During the event, the children showed excellent determination, resilience and team work.
