Take Over Week
This week Year 6 have been doing jobs around the school as part of Takeover week. We have really enjoyed having some of them come to our class each afternoon to read us a story.
Writing
We have been reading the story of Zog and the Flying Doctors. We created our own character that the doctors could help and thought about what problem it could have. We used our Oracy skills to tell our new story to our partner.
History
As part of our History topic we looked at historical artefacts linked to Florence Nightingale including bandages, medicine bottles and a lamp. We enjoyed exploring the artefacts, thinking about what they might have been used for and how they can help us learn about the past.

In maths we have been looking at different ways to create numbers to 20. We used counters, cubes, ten frames and Numicon.
