This week children have been introduced to our new class reader- Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. On Monday we acted out the story with Freddie Riley taking the lead role of Max and the others playing the part of the wild things. They roared their terrible roars, gnashed their terrible teeth, showed their terrible claws and rolled their terrible eyes. From this they have begun retelling the story in their writing producing some excellent high five sentences. Well done!
