Maths Olympiad

In order to ensure we are providing challenge for our most able mathmaticians we host the annual Maths Olympiad across the Owlcotes Multi Academy  Trust. This involves several rounds of competition before a final inter academy round for those children  who have performed at the highest level.

It is great for the children to solve problems and work with other pupils from beyond their own schools and classes and is a great way to promote and raise the profile of the  subject .

In the  Summer Term some of the highest achieving mathematicians from across the Owlcotes Trust descended on Pudsey Primrose Hill for the second annual Maths Olympiad. The children were put through their paces on an online quiz with 20 complex problem solving questions to be completed in only 40 minutes. Congratulations this year go to Calverly Parkside who managed to sweep the top prize, but a huge congratulations go out to all of the children that took part including nine Year 6 students from Primrose Hill.
