Class Reader: Coraline by Neil Gaiman
Read Aloud at Home: The Time Travelling Cat and the Egyptian Goddess by Julia Jarman
Science: Forces. Children will explain that unsupported objects fall towards the Earth because of the force of gravity. They will identify the effects of air resistance, water resistance and friction. They will also recognise that some mechanisms, including levers, pullys and gears allow a smaller force to have a greater effect.
