Maths

We have been learning about multiplication and division. We used grouping to help us solve some tricky division problems!

History

We learnt about the different ways that people tried to extinguish the fire. They tried to use leather buckets filled with water from the River, fire squirts and eventually they used fire hooks to pull the houses down to stop the fire from spreading.

We also then helped to design a new London. We thought about the changes we could make to make sure this never happened again! We planned to make buildings from brick and stone and train a fire service.

Art

At the start of our Art topic we always have a practise to see what we already know. This term we are using water colours. We tried to create our own art work in the style of Alma Thomas. Over the term we will develop our skills in using watercolours and then create our final piece of artwork next term!

Science

We started our science learning by looking at different objects. We thought about what material they were made from and discussed the properties of the material.
