As part of Art Super Learning Day children in reception explored colour mixing in the context of the work of Wassily Kandinsky. They looked closely at one of his most famous pieces of artwork 'Squares with Concentric Circles', discussing as a group what 'concentric' means. Children were then encouraged to recreate this piece of artwork; they drew their own circles and mixed primary colours together which they then used to paint with.
