Year 6 enjoyed a visit from the author Daniel Ingham Brown. He discussed the process of writing from the start to the end product , his inspirations for his novels and he read extracts from his current book. Year 6 also took part in a workshop designed to support them in writing settings and they used drama to bring imaginary worlds to life. They visited the Magic Emporium and later in the week they planned and produced descriptive settings of their place between linked to the picture book ' Leon and the place between'. They used precise figurative language to evoke an eerie atmosphere and a hostile environment.
