The Nursery Day

Nursery Sessions

We provide nursery education for children who are three years old and above, up until the end of the academic year before starting school.


The timings of the nursery sessions are:

Morning education session: 8.30am-11.30am

Lunchtime care: 11.30am-12.30pm

Afternoon education session: 12.30pm-3.30pm.


We offer a range of attendance patterns linked to government 15 hour funded nursery entitlement for all three and four year old children and 30 hour government funded entitlement, subject to availability.

Attendance Patterns: 2022-2023:


  • 5 mornings - 8.30am-11.30am Fully government funded
  • 5 afternoons - 12.30pm-3.30pm Fully government funded 
  • Two and half days (parents select the days, subject to availability) with a daily charge of £2.75 for the additional hour of care each day.

        Cost per week: £5.50, or £8.25 depending on the number of lunches.

        Attendance at the care sessions between education sessions (11.30am-12.30pm) is optional.

        Five education sessions can be booked using government funding, resulting in no charge.


  • Three days (parents select the days, subject to availability) with a charge of £2.75 for the additional hour of care each day.

        Cost per week: £18.25.  £8.25 for 3 additional hours of care and £10 for the additional 3 hour

         education session.


  • For eligible families (meeting government criteria AND Pudsey Primrose Hill Nursery admissions criteria for 30 hours of funded nursery education) and subject to availability, 30 hours across 5 days: 8.30am-11.30am and 12.30pm-3.30pm (fully funded) with the option of lunchtime care from 11.30am-12.30pm. 

        Cost per week if accessing five full days: £13.75.  An additional hour of care costs £2.75 per

       day; this is optional.

Please note that all options are subject to availability at the time of us offering your child a place.


If you choose for your child to have their lunch at nursery, you will need to provide them with a packed lunch and a drink. 

At the time of us offering your child a Nursery place, we consider your first choice of attendance pattern and where possible offer your preferred option. Where this is not possible, we will offer you an alternative and then place your child's name on a swap list to change their hours to your first choice, if and when this becomes available.
