Year 6 made electrical circuits and designed a torch for a scientist to use for six months in Antarctica. They used buzzers, bulbs, motors, switches and cells to explore both series and parallel circuits. They investigated the questions- How does the length of the wire affect the brightness of the bulb? How does the number of batteries affect the brightness of the bulb/ loudness of the buzzer? How does the number of light bulbs affect the brightness of the bulb? They used electrical symbols to record their circuits.
