Dance Competition

on the 9th of Feb, we took our Wake Up Shake Up routine on the road to a dance competition.

The children created the dance from scratch as a class and then 7 super steppers were picked to represent us against 7 other schools.

The team did brilliantly to remember the steps but to most importantly show how much fun they were having!

It obviously worked as they ended up picking up 3rd place in the competition despite being much younger than many of the other acts.

Coding - Writing Snippets Of Code

We have begun our new computing unit this half term  and we are already loving getting stuck into coding.

We have experienced drag and drop block coding in previous year groups but using LOGO is our first experience of using a text based coding system.

The children really successfully build on their prior knowledge and were able to quickly learn some basic instructions, producing snippets of code for a specific purpose.

Learning Logs

The children worked really hard over the Christmas holidays to produce some wonderful learning logs, documenting their knowledge of the digestive system.

They were asked to present their understanding however they wanted. Here are some of the presentations the children created!
