British Science Week March 2023

Children in nursery have been investigating what happens to toys in water. Exploring whether small toys float and large toys sink has been one investigation. The sunshine this week has enabled the children to be creative with making shadows and helped to develop their understanding of how shadows are made. The children have also enjoyed using torches to explore light and shadows.

An ongoing focus on similar and different materials, exploring what happens when they are mixed resulted in an experiment with orange bath salts, cold water and white cotton balls.
