During focus week, we made potions using vinegar, bicarbonate soda and food colouring. We used these potions to inspire our narrative writing!
In DT we have been learning about Suspension bridges. We worked in groups to design and create our own examples using paper and card. We learnt about different techniques to strengthen structures, such as rolling, layering and folding. Take a look at our amazing finished bridges!
We worked in groups to explore some of the main countries found in North America. We created information posters to display the facts we learnt!
We are developing our teamwork and communication skills in PE this half term...
We created snow covered trees to create a classroom display to inspire our writing linked to our new class reader: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. We are all enjoying the book so far and can't wait to read on and explore Narnia!
PE
This term PE will be on Friday afternoons for our class. Our sessions will be with the ACES PE coaches and we will work outside as much as possible.
We will continue our swimming lessons at Pudsey Leisure Centre on Thursday mornings from Thursday 13th January!
