At the end of our Literature Festival Week we invited parents to school to see our excellent fables and artwork.  We held a fable recital in the main school hall  where pupils  from each class shared  their amazing fables and oracy skills.   Pupils from Reception to Year 6  stood on mini stages and took turns to recite the fables that they had written during the week.  This was another opportunity for pupils to make eye contact with the audience, project their voice, use intonation, facial expression and gestures to engage with their audience.  The main hall was full of parents so it was quite a nerve wracking experience for our younger children!
