Meeting Pippa Goodheart

During Focus Week, year 2 joined forces with the other KS1 classes across OMAT to meet Pippa Goodheart, the author of the 'You Choose' books.

She read us stories, told us about what it takes to be an author and shared some of her best experiences.

It was a lovely and inspiring session!

Investigating The Fire Of London

Having generated lots of questions about the Great Fire Of London, the children worked in small groups to investigate a range of sources to try and answer them. We hid clues around the room including pictures, extracts from diaries as well as secondary sources for the children to find. 

The children then used these to answer their questions and form some initial impression about the fire for themselves!
