Pudsey Primrose Hill, a strategic partner of Noctua TSA, are the Lead School for School Direc (Fee Paying) and work in collaboration with Educate Teacher Training. We have a partnership of schools across Leeds and Bradford who work together to deliver the School Direct route into primary teaching. We have created a ‘learning on the job’ style programme with trainees allocated to one of our partnership schools for the academic year. Trainees carry out a six week second school placement, also in one of our partnership schools.
We offer the Fee Paying programme and have delivered Initial Teacher Education for over 10 years.

Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School
Pudsey Primrose Hill is the Lead School for Teacher Training within Noctua Teaching School Alliance. We work together with Educate Teacher training and 15 other Primary Schools across Leeds and Bradford to offer ‘School Direct’ as a high quality and professionally respected route into teaching.
As a graduate with a ‘good’ honours degree you can apply via UCAS to the partnership to undertake your training. The year-long programme is school based and training is delivered by Alliance Schools and our partner Higher Education Institute- Educate Teacher Training.
Our aim is to train the next generation of outstanding teachers and we are keen to recruit trainees who share this vision. We provide bespoke training, delivered by outstanding practitioners, across a diverse range of schools. Training is tailored to the needs and experiences of the individual trainee, taking account of your current knowledge and skills. After a year’s successful training you will achieve Qualified Teacher Status and be in an excellent position to gain employment.

For 2021 to 2022 we can offer School Direct Unsalaried (Fee paying) Primary School places.
Minimum Qualifications Required
You will need GCSE grade C or above in English, Maths and Science and a 2:2 Honours degree or above in any subject.
School Direct (Fee Paying) Route Requirements:
You meet the minimum qualification requirement.
You have had some experience of working with children. This may be in a voluntary capacity.
You will pay a fee of approximately £7,000 to train.
You may be eligible for a range of bursaries and can apply for a tuition fee loan to cover the cost of the training.
What you need to bring: Two forms of identification – a primary ID such as a passport, and a secondary ID this can be for example a debit card. More information can be found on the STA website. (links to http://sta.education.gov.uk)
How to apply
UCAS opens in October 2020 for courses starting in September 2020 (APPLY 1)
If you don’t get an offer from APPLY 1 you can apply from 2nd January 2021 through APPLY 2.
You must apply in APPLY 1 before you can apply in APPLY 2
Shortlisting will take place once enough applications are received via UCAS. There is no annual pre-determined date for this.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a face to face interview
Interviews will be held in schools and will involve School Leaders and representative from Educate Teacher Training.
If successful you will be made an offer conditional on qualification checks; passing professional skills tests and satisfactory DBS Check.
